call for pRESENTERS
cfp and call for mentors are closed
We received over 40 submissions to our 2018 CFP! In the interest of as much transparency as we can muster, submission and acceptance stats are published below:
Of the 42 talks submitted to our CFP, 27 (64%) were accepted
- we accepted 10 of 13 talks (77%) submitted for our mentor program
- 8 talks @BSidesSATX will given by first time speakers! (30% of accepted talks overall, 8 of 10 submitted ... 80%)
In the tables below are full stats for everything we collected (acceptance, track, mentor program, 1st time speaker). The first is by "Final Track/Considered" and second by the track preference included in submission. Our "In the Weeds" and "In the Clouds" tracks received far more submissions than we could accommodate, so several were accepted on different tracks.
